First Annual Commercialization Study Explores Innovation in Meeting Customer Needs in an Evolving US Healthcare Market
BEAVERTON, OR --(Marketwired - May 09, 2016) - Prolifiq Software Inc., a mobile software company reimagining CRM for the life sciences industry, today announced it is releasing a report detailing the results of a survey that explores the rapid changes occurring with life sciences companies. The report, First Annual State of Life Sciences Commercial Study: Evolution or Revolution? How Organizations Are Transforming to Meet the Evolving US Healthcare Market Needs, is available for download at www.prolifiq.com/first-annual-state-of-commercialization.
The healthcare market in the United States is going through a period of considerable change. Providers are increasingly consolidating, and healthcare organizations are using a wealth of new data to determine how they can better achieve the IHI Triple Aim -- better care for individuals, better health across populations, and lower per capita cost. Prolifiq teamed up with healthcare industry consultant and former Pfizer Director of Commercial Effectiveness, Jennifer Muszik, to survey top pharmaceutical, medical technology, and supporting organizations to determine how Life Sciences companies were changing to meet the needs of the customer. Among the findings of the report:
- More than 90 percent of respondents felt that market changes were causing a high impact in what providers/customers are expecting from sales colleagues.
- About 90 percent of sales colleagues and first-level leaders have evolved or are planning in the next 12 months to evolve their competency models/selling skills to address changes in the market.
- Only 10% of respondent felt their messaging was aligned with customers' needs.
"With all the significant changes the healthcare industry has seen in the past decade, we wanted to find out if companies were evolving their sales strategies," says Jeff Gaus, CEO of Prolifiq Software. "And if changes were being made, were they occurring with continuous improvement in mind or as wholesale, revolutionary moves? Our research discovered some interesting results, which will be further discussed in our upcoming webinar."
